Good morning, dear readers, or I suppose I should be more inclusive by saying good day. I'm writing this to you from the past, sitting in one of the least pleasant places on earth: Newark International Airport Terminal B. It's wild how one can be just one letter away from a perfectly civilized flying experience at Terminal C and yet be locked in an administrative and logistical mire.
Anyhow, nobody's here to read about my travel woes, though they are many and varied. How about some cool cars? Yeah, let's talk about that.

The cars that caught my eye at Goodwood
I know I prattled on a bit about Goodwood last week, and how underwhelmed I was by the majority of the pseudo-hypercars squealing their way up the hill. So what did I like? Oh, lots of things. There were many, many spectacular machines at this year's event, and virtually all of them were run in anger at some point during the extended weekend event.
Okay, anger might be a bit generous, as the drivers of some of these priceless machines were being a bit more cautious than others. Run in angst? Driven in ire? Piloted with mild annoyance? Anyhow, they all ran at one point or another, and it was pretty sublime to see.
My personal favorite of the weekend was seeing such an amazing collection of Colin McRae machines gathered in one place. Seeing those, plus the 2001 World Rally Championship-winning machine of Richard Burns, was a surprisingly emotional experience for me. I got more than misty-eyed seeing all these machines gathered together. I don’t often cry when looking at old cars, but I don’t mind saying I did on this day.
But the Festival of Speed isn’t just about old cars. There were plenty of new ones as well, like Lamborghini's new Temerario GT3. That and more in my Hagerty roundup below. And, if you want all the details on the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N, another cool car that debuted there, check out my write-up at Ars Technica.

Another take on Audi's bonkers RS E-Tron GT Performance
It's been a few months since I wheeled the latest version of Audi's overpowered electric sports car through the desert, now made yet more powerful still. 912 horsepowers to be exact, going to all four wheels. It’s officially rated for a 2.4-second 0-to-60 time, but that actually felt a bit conservative. Launching the GT is a genuinely uncomfortable experience that everyone should experience once.
That's all for this week. I'm off across the Atlantic to Lisbon for a go in a certain new plug-in hybrid. It's V-8 powered, has a flat-plane crank, and puts out 907 horsepower. It's the new Lamborghini Temerario, and I can't wait to tell all y'all about it.
Until then, be well and do good.
